What is a season contract?
A season contract means Snow Patrol will plow your driveway when there is an average of 4” of snow.  Service is November 1 to April 30.
What is the advantage of a season contract?

There is no need to call Snow Patrol each time it snows.  We plow all our driveways that have season contracts every plow day.

What time will my driveway be plowed?

Snow Patrol has a set route, but start times vary depending on the time of the storm and the depth of the snowfall.

Do you clear berms?
We try to clear driveways after the Town of Truckee plows clear the street.  During bigger storms the Town of Truckee plows may clear the streets more than once therefore leaving the homeowners responsible for shoveling their berms.  Any berms not cleared by the homeowners will be cleared the next plow day.
Why is there snow in front of my garage door?
Snow Patrol has a safety guideline to stay 1 –2 feet away from stairs, garage doors and any other obstacles.  Snow Patrol does not want to push snow into your garage door and possibility do damage to the door.
What if there is a car parked in my driveway?
If it is your car, have it cleared of snow and when you see us plowing your neighbors driveway just move the car.  If you are unable to do this, we will clear around the car.  There are times we may choose to skip your house and double back at the end of our route to see if the car is moved.
Will my driveway be 100% clear of snow all winter?
Unfortunately not.  Depending on your sun exposure, some dirveways do melt down to pavement faster then others.  Wolfe Estate driveways melt a lot faster than South Shore Drive driveways.  If the snow is continual we may plow in the morning and have another 4" accummulate by the evening.  That snowfall will be cleared the next morning.
Can I drive over the berm?
Depending on the size of the berm and the clearance your vehicle has, many vehicles can.  We suggest you take just a few minutes and shovel the berm to prevent any possiblity of high-siding your vehicle, which will cause you aggravation and time delay.  Driving over the berm also packs the snow down and over time builds up a hump on your driveway.
How do I keep my driveway from getting icy?
The less snow you drive or walk over the better.  Our job is to keep the bulk of the snow off your driveway.  If you shovel off your car after we have plowed, push the snow to the side if the driveway.  Shoveling the berms will prevent the hump build up.  A square shovel works great on scraping the ice.  The driveways you see that are ice free are usually in the sun, or the owners shovel the excess snow.
Does Snow Patrol carry insurance?
We carry a $1,000,000 liability policy.
